Scheme activity in 2021

While the challenges of living with COVID-19 are still present, the Trustee wants to ensure that you feel supported with regard to your pension. It continues to work on a number of initiatives to keep you up to date and informed. Let’s take a look at how the Trustee has kept in touch with you throughout 2021.

We added a feedback tool to oneday… to enable you to tell us what you think about the content and tools available on the website. Look for the orange feedback button on the right-hand side of the web pages. Give it a try and share your views!

Aviva issued you with your 2021 benefit statement.

If you’re registered for oneday... we emailed you to remind you of your Target Retirement Age and investment choices, and invited you to update them if needed.

The pensions world is always evolving and from 2021 it’s now a legal requirement for schemes to produce an ‘Implementation Statement’, which sets out how the Trustee has followed the principles set out in the Scheme’s Statement of Investment Principles (SIP).

In October, we published our Implementation Statement and Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) publicly online. You can view the documents on our Key information page.

The 2021 Annual Report and Accounts were completed. You can read the full report in the Document library.

Aviva launched its new website – MyWorkplace – where you can manage your BRSS pension online. If you haven’t yet registered, do it now and check out what MyWorkplace has to offer. Aviva contacted you in November with details of how to register, and they will provide webinars to help you navigate the website in early 2022. We'll share more information about the webinars in the 'News' section on oneday... nearer the time.
